I ordered 3x 1KG loose Lego. I understood when buying it that the selection is random, and that I may receive parts I don't want.
However, the first bag I opened contained 38 individual wheels, of random variety, with only a couple actually matching, many of which were bigger than average and clearly adding to the weight. The same bag also contained 3 Brick Separators and at least 8 unofficial pieces, including very odd things like a tiny toy drill and sunglasses that fit on some form of action figure.
The next two bags each contained a Brick Separator, so I assume this is a standard inclusion(not 3 though). However, the selection was far better, bag 2 only had 4 wheels and bag 3 only had 3. The selection is truly random though; I found a few Duplo pieces, and pieces ranging from the 90s to modern day, and only 3 unofficial pieces across these bags. I was very disappointed with that first bag though, which felt like it was purposefully bad.
One major thing of note for any readers though, none of these pieces were clean. There was nothing truly disgusting, but everything was very obviously previously owned by children. Quite alot of general grime, dust and hairs lead to me spending a few days cleaning and drying everything before handling it properly.
As for damaged pieces, I found a few; nothing that would sour me on buying these again, and nothing cracked, but a good handful of pieces that had bite marks on the edges, clearly chewed on by a child.
Value for money is here though, and apart from that first bag, I didn't feel like I got ripped off. It's hard to tell if it was bad luck or a pattern, having only purchased these bags once. However, you are getting a great price per piece value, so there's no harm in taking a chance and seeing what you end up with. Would highly recommend buying multiple bags, at least that gives you a greater chance of a variety.
